Someone injured or at risk? Ring 112 before us. Call us once everyone is out of harm’s way.
A puncture outside Ratoath and a seized engine on the M3 are very different days. A quick call to 085 783 9202 helps us both figure out which kind you are having.
Symptoms worth describing
- Silence or a rapid clicking when you turn the key
- The car ran for a while, faded and rolled to a halt
- A soft or shredded tyre
- An empty tank, or petrol in a diesel (or the other way round)
- A dashboard warning you are not willing to drive on

When it will not go on
The car is winched onto the deck and driven to the address you pick, whether that is your own driveway, a local garage or the dealer. Pricing is unchanged: €150 call-out to start, €2 for each kilometre to the drop-off, and you agree the sum before we move.
Keeping safe at the roadside
Motorways and national roads are no place for a roadside fix, so on the M3, M1 or N2 just get clear: hazards on, passengers out on the left, over the barrier. On a lane, a field gateway beats a bend, and standing well in from the road beats sitting in the car. In an estate or a car park you can usually wait beside it.

Before you dial
Have the reg to hand, know roughly where you are, and think about where the car should end up if it does need lifting.
See breakdown recovery vs roadside assistance for the difference.
Asked about this job
Can you tell over the phone if I need a tow?
Often, yes. Talk us through the symptoms and we will be straight with you.
What if I stop on the M3?
Pull onto the hard shoulder, switch on the hazards and get everyone out on the left and over the barrier. Anyone injured or at risk means a 112 call first. Then give us your direction and the last exit.
My car is in a multi-storey. Is that a problem?
Usually not. Let us know the floor, the height limit at the entrance and where in the car park it is.
