Someone injured or at risk? Ring 112 before us. Call us once everyone is out of harm’s way.

Breakdowns in Meath happen in all sorts of places: on the M3 at rush hour, in a Navan shopping centre car park, on the N2 outside Ashbourne, or on a back road between Trim and Dunshaughlin with nobody about. Wherever it is, what you need is the same: a truck, a fair price you know in advance, and someone who takes the car where you want it.

Signs it is a job for the truck

  • The engine died and turning the key does nothing useful
  • The dash lit up red and the power faded away
  • Steam, burning smells, knocking or fluid on the road under the car
  • A car that has stood in a yard or a driveway so long it will not budge

Not sure? Tell us what you saw and heard. If it sounds like something you could sort yourself, we will say so.

Four things for a price

Who you are, the reg, the spot the car is in now and the address it is heading to. Eircodes are best. Without them, a road name, a townland, a pub or a church nearby, or a pin from your phone’s map, all work.

The price

Our towing price is a call-out from €150, then €2 a kilometre to the destination. We give you the full figure while you are still on the line, and nobody drives off from our end until you have said go ahead.

Drop-off

Your house, the mechanic you trust, the main dealer for the make, or any other address. If the garage closes before we reach it, mention it and we will sort out a safe spot for the car and a plan for the keys.

Waiting for the truck

Hazards flashing. If cars are passing fast, get everybody out through the kerb-side doors and over the barrier or up the bank. Keep the phone charged and close: the driver may ring for a landmark.

Asked about this job

Will you bring it to the garage I use?

Of course. Tell us which garage. If they shut before we arrive, we will agree a sensible place for the car and the keys.

Must I wait with the car?

Normally the keys change hands at the car. If you cannot stay, explain when you ring and we will find a way.

My car has been parked up for a year. Can you shift it?

We can. Flat tyres and seized brakes affect the loading, so mention them.
