A tow is something most drivers book rarely, so few know what is fair. This is exactly how we price one, plus a few checks worth making with any firm.
How our price is built
- Call-out from €150. That covers the truck coming out to the car and loading it.
- €2 a kilometre. Measured to wherever the car is going.
So a car moved a few kilometres across Navan costs much less than one going from Kells to a dealer in Dublin. We tally it up with you on the phone, and nothing happens until you give the nod.
Details that can affect the job
Mention any of these when you ring. Many make no difference, but you should hear about it before you commit:
- The vehicle is a van, a jeep or a motorbike
- It is in a ditch or off the road
- It will not roll, steer or brake
- It is electric or a hybrid
- It sits underground or behind a height barrier

How the process goes
- You phone with the reg, your name, the pickup spot and the drop-off address.
- We tell you the price.
- You agree, and the truck sets off.
- The car is loaded, strapped down and taken to the address you gave.
- Payment is by card over the phone, a texted card link, or cash.
Longer runs
Meath sits next to Dublin, so many of our runs go there, usually by the M3, the N2 or the M1. For longer trips to other counties, ring with both addresses and we will give you the figure the same way.
Four things to pin down with any tow firm
- Is this the whole amount, fixed before you set off?
- Will you deliver to my chosen address rather than the closest garage?
- Is your truck right for this vehicle?
- Which payment methods do you take?
Worth a look first
Many motor policies in Ireland bundle some breakdown help. Look at yours: it might cover the job. Where it does not, or it will only go to a garage of its choosing, a local recovery firm fills the gap.
